Nanjiao Park in Guiyang

Nanjiao Park is located in the southwest corner of downtown Guiyang. Established in 1966, the park has developed into a sizable attraction over the years. Alongside other municipal parks such as Riverside Park in central Guiyang, Forest Park to the east of the city, and Qianling Park in the urban area, it forms part of Guiyang’s municipal park system.

The park is characterized by karst landforms and is home to the famous underground cave "Bailong Cave." The cave earned its name due to its winding passages and milky-white stalactites and formations that resemble a silver-scaled white dragon. Stretching 587 meters in length, the cave features passages that vary significantly in height and width. It has two “skylights” that naturally ventilate the interior. Under colorful lighting, the stalactites appear as if they might fall at any moment, creating vivid and lifelike images — it’s like strolling through a magnificent three-dimensional art gallery. Long ago, it was an ancient underground river. Due to crustal movements, geological shifts, and changes in the river's course, various shapes of stalactites gradually formed, creating a series of magical cave landscapes that captivate visitors.

Deep inside Bailong Cave, surrounded by snow-white stalactites, lies a pool of emerald water with 100 stone steps submerged beneath the surface, known as the "Hundred Steps Bridge." It resembles a rainbow lying across the shimmering waters, offering stunning scenery. The cave is truly a world within a world, with endless layers of fascinating views.
