The Zhenshan Buyi Ethnic Eco-Museum is situated 21 kilometers southwest of Guiyang, the provincial capital. The mountain village is built on a peninsula, bordered by water on three sides, with a half-mountain peak soaring into the sky. Over 400 years ago during the "Pingbo" campaign, the Ming Dynasty dispatched General Li Renyu to garrison troops here. He married a local Buyi woman, and their descendants have thrived for 17 generations. The Ban and Li families have become one, living in harmony, leading to a rich cultural integration between Han and Buyi traditions. Within the village, well-preserved stone walls from the garrison period, traditional sanheyuan-style residences, and the Temple of the God of War coexist alongside wooden-framed stone slab houses, which are neatly arranged. This creates a diverse architectural landscape that reflects the distinct building styles of both Han and Buyi ethnic homes.
