Zhenshan Buyi Village

Surrounded by water on three sides, Zhenshan Village is a stone-built settlement constructed by the Buyi people. Its layered stone houses are built along the mountain contours, and the entrance to the village on the mountain side is fortified with a stone wall and gate, resembling a medieval fortress. In Zhenshan Village, visitors can stay with Buyi families, enjoy traditional Buyi cuisine, and watch performances of Buyi songs and dances. At the dock by Huaxi Lake, you can take a flower-decorated boat for a lake tour while listening to Buyi guides share stories about the local landscape and ethnic legends. The annual "Tiao Hua Chang" (Flower Field Festival) of the Buyi and Miao peoples on the 12th, 13th, and 14th days of the first lunar month, the Miao "April 8th" Festival, and the Buyi "June 6th Singing Festival" are the most lively celebrations in Zhenshan Village.

The Zhenshan Buyi Museum is located in Huaxi District, 21 kilometers from Guiyang.

Zhenshan Village is an ethnic settlement that combines natural landscapes, traditional architecture, and historical relics.

The village preserves complete remnants such as military stone walls, traditional sanheyuan courtyard homes, and the Wu Temple, as well as wooden-framed stone houses that are densely arranged, creating a rich architectural space that reflects the distinct building styles of Han and Buyi ethnic residences.
