Gongzhan Bridge

Gongzhan Bridge is located in Menggongzhai, Siqian Village, Qingyan Town, Guiyang. Commonly known as Gaiche Bridge and also referred to as Menggong Grand Bridge, it was commissioned by the talented scholar of central Guizhou, Zhou Qiwēi, during his final days in the capital where he served as a scholar of the Zhan Shi Fu (a government office). He instructed his descendants to build the bridge back in his hometown after his passing—hence the name Gongzhan Bridge (Gongzhan meaning “scholar-official of the Zhan Shi Fu”).
