Minghu National Wetland Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction, a national water conservancy scenic area, and a national wetland park.

Minghu National Wetland Park is situated in the western part of Liupanshui’s urban center. Its clear lake water links with the natural mountains to the west, and the 1.13-kilometer-long Rainbow Bridge stretches gracefully over the pristine lake surface like a flowing ribbon. The planned total area of the wetland park is 197.7 hectares, comprising five wetland clusters: Longguidi Reservoir, Yaoshang Reservoir, the headwaters section of Shuicheng River, Minghu Village Wetland, and Minghu Small Gorge (commonly known as "One-Line Sky"). The wetland types include artificial reservoir and pond wetlands, as well as riverine wetlands, covering a wetland area of 84.65 hectares, accounting for 42.8% of the total area.

Minghu National Wetland Park boasts a rich diversity of flora and fauna. The area hosts 259 species of vascular plants from 209 genera and 98 families, including 19 species of ferns from 14 genera and 10 families, and 240 species of seed plants from 195 genera and 88 families. There are also 151 species of wild vertebrates, including 14 fish species, 19 amphibian species, 19 reptile species, 82 bird species, and 17 mammal species. Among them, 11 species are under national second-class protection, such as the Guizhou wart frog, Lady Amherst’s pheasant, Common Buzzard, and Eurasian Kestrel.

In the past, passing through this area, you would have seen scattered fish ponds, low-rise villages, tilted houses, overgrown weeds, and even complete messiness. Now, what stands before your eyes is a mirror-like lake surface and a winding, beautifully designed steel ribbon bridge. Looking into the distance, the colorful ribbon bridge soaring across the lake, beneath the misty clouds, reveals clear views of green grass, trees, and leaves—a stunning natural painting. On the Rainbow Bridge, visitors can already be seen strolling leisurely, enjoying the lake and mountain scenery. Throughout the wetland park, whether along the shorelines or on the small islands in the lake, meandering paths for relaxation are found. Various plants are also planted along the paths. In the early morning or evening, the breeze carries the fresh scent of soil, making one feel especially refreshed. From time to time, unknown small birds and waterfowl fly over the water and grass, hunting for food. The harmony between humans and nature, and the closeness between wildlife and ecology, is truly refreshing and delightful.
