Warhorse Canyon

Warhorse Canyon is located on the Mashasha River within the county. Its name comes from the fact that there are several place names related to "horses" in the middle reaches of the Mashasha River, such as Warhorse Land, Warhorse Fields, Horse Pond, Seahorse Cave, and Seahorse Post, hence the naming of Warhorse Canyon.

"Warhorse Canyon" refers to the middle and lower reaches of the Mashasha River, starting from Xiatun Bridge, which is 7 km from the county seat, and extending down to Suojiang Canyon. The canyon stretches 70 km in length. The natural landscape is divided into three major scenic areas: the Fishing Pond Mountain and Lake Scenic Area, the Ma Datan Scenic Area, and the Natural Bridge to Beipan River “Three Rivers Junction” Canyon Scenic Area.
