Spring is in the air — Golden Bell Trees Are Bursting into Bloom in Kaohsiung

 

The Golden Bell Tree is native to Central and South America, and it fits perfectly with the tropical climate of southern Taiwan. During the peak summer, it harnesses Kaohsiung’s abundant sunlight to produce nutrients, sheds its leaves in autumn and winter to store energy, and then bursts into a tree full of radiant golden blooms around the Awakening of Insects in spring. Each golden flower resembles a small lantern or delicate trumpet, spreading a cheerful and uplifting atmosphere. They carry a sense of vitality, as if brimming with positive energy. When clusters of these flowers sway in the breeze, they resemble cheerful children playing gleefully in the sun.
