Sandaogou Bamboo Sea is located in Xinlongchang Town, Xingren County, about 18 kilometers from the county seat. Situated in the western part of the hundred-li Qinglong Mountain Range that traverses Xingren County, it spans tens of thousands of mu and extends for ten kilometers, covering the slopes and valleys from Donggualin to Sandaogou in Xinlongchang Town. The densely packed, lush green bamboo stretches as far as the eye can see, forming a magnificent landscape and making it a highly valuable scenic destination in Xingren County. Known as the “Emerald of Southwest Guizhou,” the area boasts an ocean of emerald bamboo, richly verdant and thriving, with Moso bamboo being the most prominent variety.

The scenery within the bamboo sea is incredibly beautiful: the pitless bamboo groves resemble giant potted plants, while the bamboo on the rocks looks like tens of thousands of green flags. Streams gaily rush through the bamboo thickets, and mountain springs sing melodiously over the layered rocks. In the vibrant spring when all things come back to life, bamboo shoots and bamboo shoots (bamboo fungus) emerge like playful children, occasionally popping out from the soil covered with dead leaves, bringing delightful surprises like magic.
