Chicken Coop Mountain is located on the hill behind Shulou Town. It still retains a large number of temple and Buddha statue ruins, a good ecological environment, and abundant fruit and bamboo forest resources, laying a solid foundation for the development of eco-tourism. In addition, there are 10 uniquely shaped and distinctive stone forests on the mountain; the mountain stands independently and towers high, surrounded by a reservoir on three sides, offering abundant natural eco-tourism resources. The construction plan includes rebuilding three temples at the mountaintop, installing Buddha statues of various sizes and expressions along the way, and developing Buddhist cultural tourism projects such as “Ten Thousand Buddhas on One Mountain,” creating a Buddhist cultural tourism complex that integrates Buddhism, leisure, vacation, wellness, and sports.

Shulou Town: Pingshan County boasts numerous historical relics and scenic landscapes, but the reservoir area scenery is most prominent in Shulou. Moreover, with the relocation and reconstruction project of the ancient Mapi City settling in Shulou, most of the relocated cultural relics and historic sites in Pingshan County have been reconstructed here. It can be said that present-day Shulou is the bearer of Jinsha River history and culture, the home of Pingshan’s historical legacy, and the premier showcase of the reservoir area’s scenery.

Within Shulou Town, there are rural tourism attractions such as the Wanmu Jinjiang Longan Forest Scenic Area, Gaotian Bamboo Sea, and Shuyuan Chicken Coop Mountain.
