Bai Dao Lake Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national water conservancy scenic area.

Bai Dao Lake Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located in Dazhu County, Dazhou City, and is built around the Wumutan Reservoir. The scenic area spans 70 square kilometers, including a water surface of 10 square kilometers, making it a reservoir-type water conservancy scenic area.

The Wumutan Reservoir is located in the upper reaches of the Jialing River system and is a medium-sized water conservancy project that integrates flood control, farmland irrigation, and urban water supply. In recent years, the scenic area management has intensified efforts to prevent and control water pollution, implementing a series of water ecological treatment projects and measures. As a result, a diverse aquatic ecosystem comprising rivers, reservoirs, ponds, and marshes has been initially formed. The water quality of the scenic area consistently maintains Class III standards. The area earned the name “Bai Dao” (Hundred Islands) due to the numerous islands scattered across the lake, and it is regarded as the “mother lake” of the local bamboo-growing communities. The region also features the Wufengshan Forest Park, known as the “Bamboo Sea of Eastern Sichuan,” and the Bai Dao Lake Hot Spring Resort, among many other distinctive attractions.
