Jinyinzhai Snake King Li Manor Scenic Area

Jinyinzhai Snake King Li Manor Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Jinyinzhai Snake King Li Manor Scenic Area is located 100 meters east of the Dabu intersection on the Guiyang Highway in Guilin. The entire scenic area covers approximately 60 acres, and its overall architectural form resembles an ethnic village, primarily featuring wooden stilted houses that showcase the village life of the Miao ethnic minority.

The scenic area serves as a comprehensive cultural and educational tourism destination, integrating snake breeding and domestication, research on the comprehensive utilization of venomous snakes, processing, snake-themed science education displays, and snakebite prevention awareness campaigns. Thanks to its rich educational content on snakes, the site was designated as the “Guilin Youth Science and Technology Education Base” by Guilin City in 2003.

In 2004, it was recognized as the “Guangxi Youth Science and Technology Education Base” by the Guangxi Autonomous Region. That same year, it joined the Tourism Self-Discipline Association. In 2009, it was named a Guangxi Industrial and Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site by the Guangxi Autonomous Region. In 2008, it was awarded the title of “Integrity Unit” by Guilin City.

To promote Miao culture, in 2011 two highly representative Miao subgroups—the Basha Miao and the Short-Skirt Miao—were specially invited from Congjiang County in Guizhou Province. These intangible cultural heritages were brought to our scenic area to allow more visitors to learn about this ethnic group. Tourists can not only enjoy their captivating folk performances but also gain deep insights into their local customs and way of life. In 2013, it was rated as a National AAA-level Tourist Attraction.
