Chuan Shan Yan is a sealed cave accidentally discovered in 1979 during the excavation of a wartime air-raid shelter. It is the most distinctive among the over 30 bizarrely layered caves of Chuan Shan, forming a massive karst cave. Surveys revealed that the natural cave stretches in winding depth for 1,531 meters, with the main cave section being 349 meters long. The cave generally spans 3–5 meters in width, with the widest point reaching up to 30 meters. The height typically ranges from 2–7 meters, with the highest point exceeding 30 meters. Inside, there are countless uniquely shaped stalactites and rare stone treasures, including numerous translucent stalactite straws, coiled stone branches, and snow-white, glistening stalactites. Some stones even appear to bloom or grow fur—features rarely seen in other caves. For this reason, it has been hailed as a “rare and magical crystal treasure cave in the world.”
