The Duliu Site

The Duliu Site is situated on Hetang Ridge to the west of Duliu Village, approximately 2 kilometers north of Nali Town in Qinnan District, Qinzhou City. Over 1,100 stone artifacts have been unearthed, including stone axes, stone plows, adzes, chisels, hoes, shovels, sickles, arrowheads, knives, spears, hammers, stone pestles, and stone grinding plates. These tools cover a range of agricultural activities—from land clearing and cultivation to harvesting and grain processing—indicating that agriculture had reached a certain level of development at the time. The discovered postholes, ash pits, and ash ditches are believed to be remnants of housing structures, suggesting that the local people led a settled lifestyle. It is a typical late Neolithic site primarily focused on agriculture, dating back about 4,000 years. The fruit pits found at the site are currently the earliest olive pits discovered in China.

Nali Town: Nali Town is located in the southeastern part of Qinzhou City, bordering Wujia Town of Hepu County to the east and facing the Dafeng River to the south. It serves as the eastern gateway to Qinzhou City. The town has 10 village committees, 1 community neighborhood committee, 182 natural villages, and 193 villager groups. By the end of 2003, the total population was over 30,000. The town covers a total land area of 226.08 square kilometers, including 42,000 mu of arable land. The North-South Second-Class Highway, Qinnan–Beibu Railway, Guitai Expressway, and the former National Highway 325 all run through the town, making transportation very convenient.
