Shangyangjiao Neolithic Site
The Shangyangjiao Neolithic Site is located on Shangyangjiao Ridge, about 2 kilometers southeast of Hongsha Village in Dongchang Town, Qinzhou City, and approximately 20 kilometers from downtown Qinzhou. The site backs onto Nanyangjiao Ridge, with Beiyangjiao Ridge to the north providing shelter from the wind. It enjoys abundant sunshine, a warm and pleasant climate, easy access to nearby stream water, and is suitable for habitation. The cultural layer covers an area of about 100 square meters, with a thickness of 1 meter, and has yielded polished stone axes, grinding stones, stone flakes, and stone balls. It is a cultural remnant from the Neolithic Age, dating back approximately 4,000 years.
