Nafu Ridge is located within the area of the three "Na" towns in Qinzhou (Napeng, Nasi, and Nali), to the southwest of Nasi and east of Nali. It rises abruptly with a peak elevation of 416.1 meters, making it the highest and most renowned mountain shared by Qinzhou, Lian and Ling counties. The summit stands majestically above the clouds, often shrouded in mist, hence the name. The ridge boasts beautiful scenery and a unique charm. Its oddly shaped rocks vary wildly, with rugged boulders covering the mountainside. Many scenic spots and interesting formations are named after their shapes, such as Turtle Rock, Scaled Rock, Husband-and-Wife Rock, Reclining Immortal Rock, and Arhat Rock—all remarkably lifelike. There is also a Sea-Viewing Rock; standing atop it, you can gaze at the southeastern coast of the Beibu Gulf and the scenery of Beihai City. Trees and rocks seem to grow as one. Shrubs sprout from crevices between stones or twine around them with twisted roots. Banyan trees, for instance, send out roots that curve through rocky gaps before branching out and sprouting leaves, forming green canopies alongside patches of grass. The area is also rich in wild medicinal herbs and plants. Springs seem to share an inseparable bond with the rocks as well—slender streams spurt from cliffside rock crevices, clear and sparkling, with a sweet and cool taste that soothes the throat, refreshes the mouth, and invigorates the spirit.
