Gaofeng Ecological Pitaya Tourist Scenic Area
Gaofeng Ecological Pitaya Tourist Scenic Area
The Gaofeng Ecological Pitaya Tourism Base is constructed in Qinzhou, Guangxi, a region blessed with picturesque landscapes and rich folk traditions. Benefiting from the area’s natural advantages—minimal typhoons, suitable temperatures, significant diurnal temperature differences, and a pollution-free environment—Gaofeng Company practices large-scale organic cultivation here. It has also developed an ecological pitaya tourism base by capitalizing on the inherently friendly and harmonious characteristics of pitaya.
Pitaya originates from Central and South America and is a desert plant of the cactus family. With its vast expanse of exotic landscapes, along with approximately 20 blooming and fruiting cycles per year, plus its large, vibrant flowers and fruits, it offers both visual delight and a sense of awe. By adopting organic farming practices, the pitaya production area completely avoids the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides that harm plants and the environment. It also refrains from using any hormones with hard-to-define side effects. Instead, all fertilizer comes from leguminous green manure, and no soil tillage is performed. As a result, the Gaofeng pitaya production zone serves as an ecological conservation and cultivation area where flowers, birds, grasses, and insects thrive in harmony, and biodiversity is preserved to the greatest extent possible. Both humans and nature coexist in the most sincere and amicable manner.
The Gaofeng Ecological Pitaya Tourism Project is even more founded on the inherently friendly attributes of pitaya toward humans. Pitaya is rich in various nutrients and rare therapeutic substances. Compounds such as quercetin (HU) and kaempferol possess strong antibacterial properties against harmful pathogens. Pitaya plants, especially pitaya enzymes, contain abundant succinic acid, which is particularly beneficial to the health of stressed modern individuals. Pitaya contains 28 types of amino acids, nearly 25% of which are free amino acids—very easily absorbed by the human body. Most importantly, pitaya plants, particularly the fruits, contain the highest known amount of anthocyanins among all plants. Anthocyanins are among the most remarkable natural substances known for combating free radicals and preventing aging. The mucilage content in pitaya plants is comparable to, if not exceeding, that of succulents like aloe vera. As a result, whether it's the flowers, fruits, or branches and buds, pitaya demonstrates significant effectiveness in relieving various types of constipation. Additionally, the SOD activity in pitaya substances reaches an impressive level of 84,000 U per 100 grams, highlighting pitaya’s primary role in promoting human beauty and vitality recovery. As a CAM (Crassulacean Acid Metabolism) plant of the cactus family, pitaya’s substantial nocturnal assimilation process generates a large amount of oxygen, fundamentally improving the ecological environment—an effect that no oxygen bar can rival.
The Gaofeng Ecological Pitaya Tourism Project cherishes the gifts of nature and focuses on human-centered care. Adhering to the standards of ISO9001 and ISO14000, it progresses step-by-step from green food and organic food toward the most harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. By developing wilderness training, wild plants, and mountainous natural environments, it seeks to immerse people in nature and allow them to experience the most fundamental interactions between humanity and the natural world. Through the sightseeing experience, visitors can achieve physical and mental purification and nourishment.
