The Banana Mound Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Qinnan District.

The Banana Mound Site is located in Danliao Village, Xiniujiao Town, Qinnan District, Qinzhou City. It dates back to the Neolithic Age and is classified as a non-cultural relic structure.

It was designated as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit in April 1999.

Xiniujiao Town: Xiniujiao is situated at the southernmost tip of Qinnan District, Qinzhou City. It is surrounded by sea on three sides and borders land on one. To the east, it faces Xichang Town of Hepu County across the Dafeng River; to the northeast, it connects with Dongchang; to the northwest, it borders Dafanpo Town; to the west, it lies adjacent to Qinzhou Port across the Jinggu River; and to the south, it faces the Beibu Gulf. The town government is located 46 kilometers from the city center. The administrative area covers 254.4 square kilometers, with a coastline stretching 94.7 kilometers. The town currently has 22 village committees and 301 natural villages, with a total year-end population of 64,290. In October 2003, it was designated as a well-off demonstration town in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
