Ulei Fort

Ulei Fort is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Ulei Fort (part of the Liucheng Fortress Ruins and Friendship Pass) is located on Xiangludun Island, Wulei Village Committee, Sanniangwan Tourism Management Area, Qinzhou City. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is classified as a non-cultural relic structure.

The ruins of Ulei Fort are located on an isolated island 2 kilometers south of Wulei Village, Xiniujiao Town, Qinzhou City. It was built in the 56th year of the Kangxi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1717). The fort was constructed along the island using stones, blue bricks, and lime mortar. Originally, the fort was “14 chi high with a perimeter of 44 zhang.” Today, most of the surrounding walls have been destroyed, with the remaining highest sections reaching up to 3 meters, though many are only one or two meters tall. It served as the first line of defense controlling the waterway entrance to Qinzhou.
