Dongli Santan, located in Dongli Village, Wuzhuan Town—about 35 kilometers from Donglan County and the hometown of martyr Wei Baqun—is composed of Ren Tan, Houhuang Tan, and Xiaolong Tan. Ren Tan lies slightly east of the center of a field, covering an area of about 5,000 to 6,000 square meters. Its waters are murky in summer and autumn but clear in winter and spring. Legend has it that over five hundred years ago, the land sank to form the pond. Houhuang Tan is situated near the western foothills, spanning approximately 3,000 square meters. The pond water gushes out from a large karst cave in the mountain, creating high waves and turbulent currents, offering an extraordinary sight that often amazes visitors. Xiaolong Tan is located to the north of the village. It is partially hidden and partially visible, with crystal-clear azure waters as smooth as a mirror. It is abundant in fish and shrimp, and villagers often paddle rafts inside to fish for fun. In April 1924, after returning from the Third Peasant Movement Training Institute in Guangzhou, Wei Baqun used to work by lantern light in the pond area, writing and printing various study materials and revolutionary leaflets for the institute. It was referred to as the "secret printing house" at the time and is now a key cultural heritage site protected by Donglan County.
