The site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of Guangxi Province is a cultural tourism attraction and a classic red tourism destination.

The site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of Guangxi Province in Guigang is a cultural relic protection unit at the autonomous region level. Located at No. 34, Rongxing Street, Dakai Road, Guigang City, Guangxi (formerly Zhang Guocai’s residence at Guangdong Lane, Xucun, Xucun Street, Guixian County, Guangxi), the First Congress of the Communist Party of Guangxi Province was secretly held on the second floor of this building on June 1, 1928. More than ten delegates attended the meeting, with Comrade Yun Daiying, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, providing guidance, and Deng Boqi, then Secretary of the Guangxi Special Committee, presiding over the meeting.

The meeting passed three major resolutions, reorganized the Guangxi Special Committee, and elected 15 committee members, with Zhu Xiangang serving as Secretary and Dong Quanhan as Deputy Secretary. This meeting was convened during a historic turning point when, following the failure of the Great Revolution, Party organizations across Guangxi had, under relentless suppression by the Kuomintang reactionaries, tenaciously fought on and gradually restored and developed. It was the first provincial-level important conference held in Guangxi since the establishment of the Party there in 1925, and played a significant and positive role in promoting the further development of the revolutionary movement among workers and peasants in Guangxi, the publicity of the Guangxi Soviet movement, the organization of labor-peasant associations and red trade unions, and the initiation of revolutionary struggles. The site now houses the "Exhibition on the First Congress of the Communist Party of Guangxi Province," which integrates cultural relics, photographs, and historical materials with rich illustrations. It provides visitors with an understanding of Guangxi’s Party history, an appreciation of the pioneering spirit of revolutionary predecessors, and a moving and inspiring experience, making it an important venue for learning revolutionary traditions, cultivating moral integrity, and fostering revolutionary ideals. The site retains the architectural legacy of the late Qing and early Republican periods in the Lingnan region.

On October 7, 2019, the site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of Guangxi Province was included in the eighth batch of Major Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the National Level.
