During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Transport Period (October 3–11), passengers have shown strong enthusiasm in pre-booking high-speed rail tickets. In response to the increased demand for traveling home and tourism, and after reviewing capacity scheduling, the high-speed rail company has announced the addition of 10 train services (6 southbound and 4 northbound), with ticket sales opening at midnight on September 21 (Thursday). Additionally, as September 30 (Saturday) has been designated a workday, the high-speed rail company will operate 2 extra train services during peak commuting hours to serve passengers.

With large crowds expected during the holiday period, passengers are advised to reserve seats in advance and make full use of the convenient services offered by over 10,000 convenience store ticketing locations, as well as the high-speed rail "T-EX Mobile Ticketing" app, to complete ticket purchasing and collection early. This allows for direct entry and boarding upon arrival at the station, saving valuable time and avoiding crowded stations. During the transport period, all trains will maintain 3 to 5 cars of free-seating service. Passengers holding periodic tickets, return tickets, or EasyCard/ iPass co-branded cards (with auto top-up enabled) may directly tap in and use the free-seating cars.

During Taiwan High-Speed Rail’s "Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Transport Period," a total of 204 additional train services will be added over 9 days (101 southbound and 103 northbound), providing a total of 1,400 train services. To help passengers plan their itineraries, the high-speed rail company’s official website and all stations will publish daily information on the availability of reserved seats in standard cars for each train service during the "Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Transport Period," allowing passengers to check which services still have available reserved seats.
