The Longjing Ancient Residential Buildings in Hezhou are located 9 kilometers from the city center. This is a historical and cultural humanistic scenic tourism area. It is an ancient village built during the Tongzhi and Guangxu reigns of the Qing Dynasty, where a large number of ancient residential buildings from the Qing Dynasty’s Tongzhi to Guangxu periods are still well preserved, including the former residence of Zhang Tingfu, advisor to three presidents of the Republic of China. The architecture of these ancient dwellings showcases exquisite craftsmanship, with buildings adorned with carved dragons and painted phoenixes, many of which remain intact to this day. Longjing Village is also an important settlement for local residents and retains their unique and distinctive living customs. It serves as a significant window into the study of the indigenous culture of Hezhou.

The thousand-year-old ancient post road in Longjing is entirely paved with strip stones, stretching over 1,000 meters in total. Despite having endured a thousand years of vicissitudes, traces of its historical past can still be seen. The Longjing spring water in the residential area is sweet and fragrant, with strings of water droplets gushing out more than a foot high that are said to predict the weather. Numerous towering ancient banyan trees are scattered throughout the village, and the joyful Xiaoliang River flows through the settlement. The idyllic farmlands of Madong and Dadong dot the landscape. In 2002, the TV series *Women in the Enclosure* filmed by China Central Television used multiple locations within the Longjing Ancient Residential Buildings as shooting sites. More recently, *Happy Fields* also scouted several spots in the Dadong farmland near Longjing, sparking considerable interest among tourists in visiting the Longjing Ancient Residential Buildings.
