On April 12, 2017, the Ancient Stage of the Hu Clan Ancestral Hall in Fucheng was designated as part of the fifth batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in Guiyang County.

The village got its name because, although small, it has a large pond, making it appear as if the village is floating on the water’s edge. It administers 11 villager groups including Fukou, Fukou Market, and Changtian, covering a total area of 3.8 square kilometers, with 54.9 hectares of arable land, 276 households, and 1,112 residents. In 1950, it belonged to Liuhe Township; in 1958, to Sili Commune; in 1961, it was separated to become Fucheng Brigade under Liuhe Commune; in 1984, it was renamed Fucheng Village under Liuhe Township. The local economy mainly consists of rice cultivation and flue-cured tobacco farming, and it is one of the main flue-cured tobacco producing areas in Liuhe Township.
