Ding Ling Park

Ding Ling Park is located in the urban area of the city, bordered by Longgang Road to the east, Zaoguo Road to the west, Xinhe Road to the south, and Ziling Road to the north. The planned total area is 448 mu, with a total investment of approximately 320 million yuan. The construction mainly includes water body development, the main hill at the southwest corner along with the Ding Ling Memorial Hall, a children’s amusement park at the northwest corner, and a folk culture corridor at the northeast corner. The Ding Ling Memorial Area is a commemorative section dedicated to honoring the historical figure, featuring key structures such as the Ding Ling Memorial Hall and a Ding Ling sculpture. In the northeastern part of the park, there is a cluster of traditional residential buildings including an ancient stage, a covered bridge, and ancient-style houses. An antique-style folk culture corridor built along the water showcases the history and distinctive folk culture of Changde, combining with the classic old-street style of the city to form a Changde Folk Street that integrates sightseeing, entertainment, and shopping. The leisure and recreation area will offer a variety of amusement facilities open to the public. Within the wetland landscape conservation zone, numerous ponds and rivers are interconnected, and the original wetland system will blend seamlessly with the overall park design, creating a serene and ecological resting environment.
