The annual spring tourism highlight, the Wuling Farm Cherry Blossom Season, is expected to officially begin on February 6 and continue until February 22, spanning a total of 17 days, including the nine-day Spring Festival holiday. To provide visitors with a safe and comfortable driving environment as well as a high-quality cherry blossom viewing experience, following past practices, the Directorate General of Highways has once again collaborated with relevant units to jointly plan four major traffic management measures: "on-site crowd control, road traffic control, group visitor reservation entry, and public transportation shuttle services."

◎ On-site Crowd Control
During the cherry blossom season, Wuling Farm implements a daily visitor limit of 6,000 people, which includes 1,800 overnight guests and 4,200 day-trippers. The day-trippers are further divided into 1,000 people on group tickets and 3,200 individuals using public transportation. Overnight guests are required to present a vehicle pass issued by Wuling Farm to enter. Group visitors must make reservations through Yilan County Government’s reservation platform and exchange for passes according to their registered time slots to gain entry. Those using public transportation can purchase tickets via the ticketing channels provided by Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport and Fengyuan Bus to enter.

◎ Road Traffic Control
Informational signs will be set up at key points to remind visitors that “those without a permit are not allowed to enter Wuling Farm” and “reserved buses should proceed to Jiuliao Visitor Service Center in Datong Township to exchange for permits.” Reserved group visitors need to gather at these locations for document verification and permit exchange before entering. Inspection points will enforce round-the-clock traffic control by Wuling Farm and Taichung City Police Department, with no vehicles allowed entry without a valid permit.

◎ Group Visitor Reservation Entry
To meet tourism demand, during the 2016 cherry blossom season, 20 Class A (large) tour buses and 10 Class B (medium) tour buses are allowed entry per day, but they must first register via the reservation platform established by Yilan County Government.The reservation platform opens for booking starting at midnight on January 11, 2016.After completing registration, payment for tickets and related fees must be made within five days to Wuling Farm’s designated account. Those who fail to pay will have their reservations canceled, while successful payers will receive a reservation number. Each group must present their reservation number and gather at the designated time on the entry day at the bus inspection control point (Jiuliao Visitor Service Center, Datong Township, Taiwan Route 7) for document verification. Permits will then be issued and affixed to the right side of the bus windows for inspection by Wuling Farm entrance staff.

◎ Public Transportation Shuttle
In line with Wuling Farm’s control plan and to encourage the use of public transport, six shuttle routes have been arranged: 【Taipei Main Station – Wuling Farm】, 【Taipei City Hall Bus Station – Wuling Farm】, 【Yilan Bus Station – Wuling Farm】, 【Sanxing Township Sports Complex – Wuling Farm】, 【Datong Township Jiuliao Visitor Service Center – Wuling Farm】, and 【Lishan – Wuling Farm】.
