Located in Taichung, Wuling Farm always draws large crowds during the cherry blossom season in February and the maple leaf season in November and December. However, accommodations at Wuling Farm are usually fully booked if not reserved well in advance. Travelers who wish to visit Wuling Farm for cherry blossoms and also explore the surrounding areas might consider staying near Wuling Pass—such as Lishan, Qingjing, or Yilan—and plan a nice 2-day-1-night mini trip. Below, let us introduce you to the transportation to Wuling Farm and accommodation options nearby.

During the cherry blossom season, to maintain visitor experience quality, Wuling Farm implemented visitor volume control from February 7 to February 27, 2019 (whether traffic control is enforced during the 228 Holiday depends on the floral conditions in the park and will be announced before February 18). In short, only visitors who stay overnight, camp, or go hiking at Wuling Farm can apply for a pass to enter the park either by “private vehicle” or “public transport.”
Editor’s little secret:But for those not staying overnight, your only options are to take the “Wuling Cherry Blossom Shuttle” or book a private car during the cherry blossom season.
