The Chinese Giant Salamander Bio-Technology Museum is a science tourism and cultural venue invested in and built with 60 million yuan by Mr. Zhang Haibo, Chairman of Zhangjiajie (China) Jinchii Giant Salamander Bio-Technology Co., Ltd. It is the world’s first museum integrating knowledge, interactivity, scientific research, and artistry, covering an area of 5,000 square meters.

The Chinese Giant Salamander Bio-Technology Museum is located on Baofeng Road in the Wulingyuan District, the core scenic area of Zhangjiajie. The museum employs advanced audio, visual, and electronic interactive multimedia displays, set against the backdrop of the geological evolution of Zhangjiajie UNESCO Global Geopark. It combines science education, tourism, and art to unveil the mystery of the giant salamander, showcase its comprehensive value, and allow every visitor to enjoy an engaging and enlightening experience. The museum features various exhibition zones including Biodiversity, Ice Crystals, Ancient Seals, Giant Salamander Homeland, Explore the Giant Salamander, and a 4D Dynamic Cinema. Among these, the Giant Salamander Homeland uses multimedia interaction technology to vividly interpret a seasonal love song of Zhangjiajie.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Giant Salamander Bio-Technology Museum collaborates with Dalian Ocean University and Tsinghua University through industry-academia partnerships. It has established a postdoctoral research workstation for giant salamander studies, an international contemporary art postdoctoral workstation, a giant salamander farming base, a giant salamander research base, a production base for giant salamander-based research products (including health, beauty, skincare, cosmetics, and other series), as well as an international contemporary art and creative industry base.
