Zhangjiajie Xibu Street

Xibu Street is located in Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie, opposite the district government on Wuling Avenue. It borders Wuling Avenue to the north, stretches along 400 meters of riverside scenery along the Suoxi River to the south, neighbors the Zhangjiajie Grand Theatre to the east, and connects to Bao Feng Bridge—the main route to Bao Feng Lake—to the west. The project covers an area of approximately 100 acres, with a total construction area of about 70,000 square meters. It is the only comprehensive tourist commercial pedestrian street in China that combines a waterside bar street, a renowned Chinese snacks street, a premium shopping street featuring folk customs of western Hunan, leisure inns, and creative workshops.

The architectural style of Xibu Street is based on the rustic charm of western Hunan and the ethnic flavor of the Miao people, drawing inspiration from traditional Tujia residential buildings. It creates a vibrant market scene with houses enclosing courtyards and courtyards opening onto streets, exuding rich cultural character. The design also incorporates fashionable and leisurely elements that align with contemporary aesthetics, developed under the concept of “the most pristine, natural, and harmonious” environment. In terms of natural landscape, it features an unadorned, original charm.

"Xibu" is a term in the Tujia language, also known as "Xinan Kapu," referring to an exquisite form of Tujia handwoven brocade that was once a tribute presented to the imperial court by Tujia chieftains. Xibu Street is rich in western Hunan characteristics and serves as a large-scale commercial block complex in Zhangjiajie. Visitors can shop for a variety of unique local goods at the western Hunan folk customs shopping street, or sample a wide range of regional delicacies at the snack street.
