Wulingyuan Pointing-to-the-General Platform

The Pointing-to-the-General Platform is an observation deck in the Tianzi Mountain scenic area of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, located 1,500 meters west of Helong Park. Standing on the platform and looking out over the landscape, you can see dozens of towering stone pillars rising from the ground in the West Sea Peak Forest, creating the scene of a military parade and general inspection on the training grounds. Legend has it that King Xiang once gathered and reviewed his troops here. Standing on the Pointing-to-the-General Platform, the distant Tianzi Pavilion can be faintly seen.

Transportation

Within Zhangjiajie Forest Park, take the park's environmentally friendly shuttle bus to the Tianzi Mountain scenic area (the fare is included in the ticket). You can also take the cable car (one-way fare: 67 RMB) up to Tianzi Mountain to reach the Pointing-to-the-General Platform.
