Gathering of the Divine Soldiers

The Gathering of the Divine Soldiers is one of the top ten most spectacular sights in Zhangjiajie. Here, 30 towering stone peaks rise abruptly from the ground, crowded together in a valley, creating a majestic and imposing scene that resembles a group of soldiers standing at attention in formation. Legend has it that this is where the divine soldiers of the Heavenly King Xiang gathered. Though the myth is unsubstantiated, such a dense and spectacular concentration of stone peaks is rare even in Wulingyuan. Descend via the Bailong Elevator to the lower valley, and you can admire the view from another angle, known as the "Forty-Eight Generals Rock."
