Zhangjiajie Shentang Bay

Shentang Bay is a massive, naturally formed barrel-shaped valley located on the southern foothills of Tianzi Mountain. It features towering cliffs on all sides and an unfathomably deep valley floor. Since ancient times, Shentang Bay has been shrouded in mystery, with legends claiming it to be the place where the Heavenly King Xiang returned to the heavens. Some say that when standing at the cliff's edge, you can faintly hear the sounds of drums, gongs, and shouts and neighing of horses from the valley below, as if thousands of soldiers were locked in fierce battle. The bay is dotted with thousands of towering stone pillars that rise abruptly from the ground, forming jagged peaks and bizarre rocks, resembling a forest of stone. The most breathtaking sight in Shentang Bay is the sea of clouds. After the rain clears, the stone peaks appear and disappear amid the mist, creating scenes reminiscent of a fairyland like Penglai.

Major attractions include the General's Platform, He Long Park, Tianzi Pavilion, Fairy Scattering Flowers, Generals in Formation, Stone Boat Sailing Out to Sea, Imperial Brush Peak, Qu Yuan Questioning Heaven, Generals in Formation, and One Finger Piercing the Sky.
