Warrior Taming a Horse

A few dozen steps forward from the “Fairy Offering Flowers” scenic spot, look back toward the deep valley on the right. You’ll see towering stone peaks, among which one resembles a fine steed. Beside the horse stands a strange rock shaped like a warrior, gripping the reins as if taming the horse—hence the name “Warrior Taming a Horse.” According to local legend, this depicts the guard of the Heavenly King Xiang training the ruler’s mount. Various uniquely posed “warriors” around the valley seem to be watching the scene. The rustling of pine trees sounds like neighing horses and shouting warriors.
