Qiancheng Town: Located in the southwest of Hongjiang City, Qiancheng Town is now the seat of the new Hongjiang municipal government and the administrative center of the city. With a long history, Qiancheng has served as the county seat since the early Western Han Dynasty until 1949. In 1998, Qianyang County and Hongjiang City merged to form the new Hongjiang City, with the new municipal government stationed in Qiancheng Town. In December 2004, the new Hongjiang municipal government relocated to Qiancheng Town, and by 2012 all government units had moved there.
