The Site of the Battle of Xuefeng Mountain in Western Hunan — Former Wartime Command Post in Hongjiang is a cultural relic protection unit of Hunan Province and a classic red tourism destination.

The Battle of Xuefeng Mountain was the last major battle between China and Japan during the War of Resistance Against Japan. In this battle, our military and civilians united as one, fought bravely, and achieved the great victory of Xuefeng Mountain, annihilating more than 30,000 Japanese troops. At that time, Anjiang served as the frontline command center, hosting the headquarters of the 4th War Area, the Sino-American Combined Operations Command, the 74th Army, the headquarters of the New 6th Army, as well as numerous logistical support units. To this day, the town of Anjiang still preserves over 40 various historical sites related to the war.

The provincial-level protected site, the Site of the Battle of Xuefeng Mountain in Western Hunan — Former Wartime Command Post in Hongjiang, includes three buildings: the Yang Family Cave House, the Jiang Family Ancestral Hall, and the Guan Sheng Palace, with a total area of nearly 2,000 square meters. It houses a collection of over 200 related artifacts and more than 100 photographs. In recent years, this wartime heritage site has received over 100,000 visitors.

In 2019, the Site of the Battle of Xuefeng Mountain in Western Hunan — Former Wartime Command Post in Hongjiang was approved as part of the tenth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units in Hunan Province.
