The most famous traditional Chinese medicine shop in Liye’s history was “Lishengtang,” commonly known as “Ge Yuanji”

It dispensed medicine by prescription, using individual packets (one herb per paper packet), offered a comprehensive range of remedies, maintained high quality, provided attentive service, and treated all customers fairly, earning widespread acclaim across the border region of Hunan, Hubei, and Chongqing. It is a representative establishment reflecting the business ethics of Liye merchants. Behind the building are a medicinal herb drying area and a well.
