New family-friendly attraction opened: The Zhanslongshan Relics Cultural Park

Taipei’s Tucheng District unveils its first officially designated archaeological relics park. The "Zhanslongshan Relics Cultural Park" offers facilities such as slides, sandpits, and fountains that are perfect for families with children, along with lawn areas suitable for picnics—making it a wonderful spot for family holidays.

The Zhanslongshan Relics are part of the Yuanshan Culture, a cultural heritage from the Neolithic Age. Its area has now been planned as the "Zhanslongshan Relics Cultural Park," combining park space with an archaeological site to provide a variety of facilities for both children and adults to enjoy together.

The Zhanslongshan archaeological site is currently preserved in situ, with minimal excavation to avoid disturbing its cultural layers. The ground surface has been developed into a public park, suitable for various types of outdoor activities. The park’s design incorporates unique patterns from unearthed artifacts of the Yuanshan Culture, and on-site interpretive signs offer deeper insights into the Zhanslongshan archaeological site.

In the future, this site plans to develop a custom-made, popular real-life escape game, expanding the Zhanslongshan Relics Cultural Park and nearby attractions into a game area where visitors can learn about heritage preservation while playing.
