Three Kingdoms Park is situated on the vast inner side of the city wall between the Great North Gate and the West Gate of the ancient city, covering an area of 260,000 square meters, including 170,000 square meters of water surface.

Historically, Jingzhou was a key stronghold during the conflicts among the Wei, Shu, and Wu states of the Three Kingdoms period, hence the park's name. The expansive water area of Three Kingdoms Park is the ancient city’s North Lake. The park is designed around the natural scenery of North Lake, divided into four sections: the East Garden, West Garden, Pearl Island, and Central Island. These areas blend seamlessly with nature—sparkling waters, fragrant lotus flowers, birdsong along the shores, and rows of lush willows. Three Kingdoms Park is a large-scale public leisure destination that intertwines history with landscape, creating a picturesque setting rich in cultural ambiance.

The park is scattered with landscapes themed around the Three Kingdoms. As you enter, you’re greeted by a grand screen wall depicting the “Dramas of the Three Kingdoms.” To the south of the screen stands a “Peach Garden” featuring statues of Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei, symbolizing their legendary oath of brotherhood. To the north lies the “Scholars’ Studio,” where beside the Wine-Boiling Pavilion and within the Plum Garden, the fragrance of plum blossoms evokes the historical tale of “Discussing Heroes Over Wine and Plums.” A 397-meter-long city-wall-style corridor runs through the park. To the north of the corridor stands the Bronze Sparrow Terrace, with a pavilion housing a dignified statue of Cao Cao. To the south of the corridor are the Feather Fan Pavilion and Kongming Bridge, where a composed Zhuge Liang, feather fan in hand, stands at ease at the bridge’s head. Opposite Kongming Bridge, by the lake’s southern shore near the Nostalgia Pavilion, stands a statue of Sun Quan, leader of the Eastern Wu. Additionally, on the eastern shore of West Lake, west of Central Island, there is a “Borrowing Arrows Pavilion,” where visitors can try their hand at shooting arrows—using replica ancient bows and arrows—at “grass boats” moored in the water, set amid “linked ships,” recreating the famous story of “Borrowing Arrows with Straw Boats.”

The park offers a variety of amusement facilities, especially enjoyable is boating on the lake. As you paddle along, reflecting on the legendary Battle of Red Cliffs and the hero Zhou Yu of the Three Kingdoms, you're sure to find the experience uniquely delightful.
