Zhongxiang Mist Tea
Zhongxiang Mist Tea is a geographical indication certification trademark.
【Mist Tea】 is produced in Niangniangzhai at the southern foot of Dahong Mountain. Known as the "Roof of Jingzhou," this area has an average elevation of 750 meters, featuring a mild climate with no severe cold in winter or intense heat in summer, abundant rainfall, diffused sunlight, large diurnal temperature variations, and year-round misty conditions—making it a naturally ideal tea-growing region with a long history of tea cultivation. Legend has it that the consort of the Yellow Flower Emperor once resided here and tasted this tea, hence the name Niangniangzhai Mist Tea. The tea features naturally slender and elegant leaves, covered with white pekoe, a glossy emerald color, a lasting chestnut aroma, a fresh and sweet aftertaste, clear and bright liquor, and tender, even, and uniformly green leaf bottoms, embodying the classic characteristics of high-mountain tea. It was once listed as a “Tribute Tea” during the reign of Emperor Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty. In 1994, the “Niangniang Bizan” Mist Tea won the Grand Prize at the first “China Tea Cup” National Famous and High-Quality Tea Evaluation.
