The Xiongjiazhong Site Museum is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Xiongjiazhong Site Museum is located 45 kilometers from the ancient city of Jingzhou and is currently the largest, best-preserved, and most complete high-ranking noble tomb complex of the Chu State ever discovered in China.

The King of Chu Chariot and Horse Array is the largest, best-preserved, and most intact high-ranking noble tomb complex of the Chu State in China, and also an outstanding representative of the highest level of Chu culture during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods. It has been praised by the famous lyricist Qiao Yu as: “In the north there is the Terracotta Army, in the south there is Xiongjiazhong.”

The King of Chu Chariot and Horse Array is located northwest of the ancient city of Jingzhou, at the site of the former Chu capital, Jiujiang, in the northwest of Jiannan City. In August 2006, after approval by the National Cultural Heritage Administration, archaeologists began multiple surveys and excavations. So far, 132 burial tombs have been identified, over 50 of which have been excavated, yielding more than 3,000 exquisite cultural relics including jade, crystal, and agate.
