Zhengdong New District Wetland Park

Zhengdong New District Wetland Park is located at the northeast corner of the intersection between the CBD Business Inner Ring Road and the North-South Canal in Zhengzhou. It is primarily used to purify the water quality of Ruyi Lake and is one of the largest urban artificial wetland projects in China already in operation in terms of water treatment capacity.

The park combines functions such as wastewater treatment, environmental protection, science education, and leisure sightseeing. It is extensively planted with species like reed catkins, variegated reed bamboo, cattails, reeds, water bulrush, and water bamboo. These plants not only help purify the water but also enhance the park’s visual appeal, creating a beautiful leisure and sightseeing area within the urban environment.
