Summer-exclusive Parent-Child Cooling Paradise: Large Water Play Area Now Open

The Dajia Inclusive Playground, which opened in April (2017), has quickly become a parent-child hotspot for sand play thanks to its large sandy area. The Taipei City Government Department of Public Works’ Bureau of Water Resources announced that, starting now, it will further open a children’s water play area. Starting in June, water will be sprayed every Saturday and Sunday from 3–6 PM, with three additional sessions per day in July and August during peak summer. Families can visit Dajia Riverside Park together to enjoy sand play, water activities, slides, and more.

Dajia Riverside Park’s expansive plaza and green spaces are perfect for cycling, skateboarding, rollerblading, and other activities, making it a long-time favorite spot for parents to safely bring their kids for fun. The water play area features adorable and playful spray facilities shaped like giant circles, bamboo dragonflies, and huge flowers. The sand pit is equipped with diggers, sand tables, slides, climbing walls, and other activities to keep children entertained, while adults can relax at the light refreshment area under the membrane canopy, sipping coffee and enjoying quality family time.

In addition to the Dajia Riverside Park water play area, the Guandu Pier Plaza also has a landscape dry fountain, which began operating in June. The fountain is open every Saturday and Sunday from 5–8 PM in June and September, and daily from 5–8 PM in July and August. With 26 nozzles and colorful LED lighting effects, although not designed for people to enter, watching the dancing water and light displays adds a cool and romantic atmosphere to the evening.
