Community experts offer free guided tours for a creative and vibrant in-depth experience in Jinshui

When traveling to Jinshui and Jioufen, besides the well-known Jioufen Old Street, the Gold Ecological Park will launch five “Community Experts Lead the Way” free guided tour events from mid-August to early October. The events include exploring the cultural history of Shuinandong Settlement, youth creative and vibrant small trips, and more. Residents living in Jinguashi or Shuinandong will introduce the unique aspects of Jinguashi and Shuinandong from a local perspective, leading visitors to discover the area’s richer humanistic and diverse charm.

The Gold Ecological Park stated that the five “Community Experts Lead the Way” guided tour sessions from mid-August to early October are scheduled for August 25 (“Caring for Jinshui’s Cultural Landscape”), September 8 (“Youth Creative and Vibrant Small Trips”), September 15 (“Exploring Shuinandong Settlement’s Cultural History”), September 29 (“Jinshui’s Ecological Mountain and Sea Views”), and October 7 (“Rediscovering the Former Mining Routes”). Except for the first session which is in the morning, all other sessions take place in the afternoon, with each guided tour lasting about 2–3 hours. The guides are residents of Jinguashi or Shuinandong, including photography and ecology enthusiasts, mining veterans, returning youth, and other locals passionate about community affairs.

Participants can sign up for these events via email or phone. The registration deadline for each session is two days before the event date, with the August 25 session’s deadline extended to noon today.
