Ming Dynasty Residential Buildings in Shangfeng
The residential buildings in Shangfeng are located in Shangfeng Village, Yangce Town, Biyang County. Constructed during the Ming Dynasty, they feature a structure of brick, wood, and adobe, with corridors one meter wide, tiled with green tiles. Their ridges, gable decorations, and column bases are carved with patterns of flowers, lotus pods, birds, and animals. They are a concentrated representation of Central Plains residential architectural style and also reflect the unique building characteristics of southern Henan.
