Jiaozi Mountain Rural (Equestrian) Club is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Jiaozi Mountain Rural (Equestrian) Club is located at the foot of Jiaozi Mountain in Xiabei Temple Township, Biyang County, adjacent to the famous Banqiao Reservoir. Surrounded by mountains and nestled between hills and water, the area features undulating peaks, bizarre rocks, towering pines, shady cypresses, crystal-clear springs, cascading waterfalls, and fragrant flowers all year round. The club was first built in 2002 and officially established in 2014. With an investment of over 60 million yuan, it covers an area of 240,000 square meters. It is currently the largest equestrian competition venue and horse breeding and training base in southern Henan, as well as a member unit of the China Western Equestrian Promotion Association’s Henan branch. It is a comprehensive tourist destination offering equestrian activities, competitions, tourism, dining, accommodation, entertainment, fitness, fishing, sightseeing, health retreats, and leisure. In 2018, it was certified as a national AAA-level tourist scenic area.

In 2016, the fourth stop of the National Equestrian Barrel Racing Tour was successfully held at Jiaozi Mountain Rural (Equestrian) Club, with the participation of multiple professional horse racing teams from both China and abroad, attracting tens of thousands of spectators. In the same year, China Camping Family designated Jiaozi Mountain Rural (Equestrian) Club as a mountain-type campsite.

Jiaozi Mountain is far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Upon entering Jiaozi Mountain Rural (Equestrian) Club, to the east lies Yanggang, where peach and pear trees cover the hills and wild fruits abound; to the north is Shangbei Temple, the foremost of the legendary “Three Temples,” originally built during the prosperous Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in 2000, now drawing an increasing number of visitors; to the south stretches an endless sea of forests with rolling pine waves and flocks of birds, presenting picturesque scenery. Visitors can use their own camping equipment such as tents and RVs, or rent small wooden cabins and yurts from the campsite. The club is equipped with standard power outlets, complete facilities, and independent water supply and sewage treatment systems to meet guests’ daily needs for accommodation, dining, and sanitation.

Jiaozi Mountain Rural (Equestrian) Club has enclosed stables managed with scientific methods. It houses over 80 premium horses imported from abroad, all thoroughbreds from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, including Arabian horses, Russian thoroughbreds, American Quarter Horses, the mythical Heavenly Horse from the Western Extremes—the Akhal-Teke, and Dutch show horses. The club has built two high-standard competition arenas, equipped with a full set of imported high-end equestrian saddles, protective gear, and all necessary equestrian equipment. It has also hired professional horse trainers and foreign equestrian coaches at high salaries. It is currently the largest equestrian competition venue and horse breeding and training base in southern Henan. Visitors here can experience: riding in the arena, equestrian competitions, film and TV shootings, horses for weddings and commercial use, and especially forest trail rides for sightseeing, giving you the thrill of galloping through the woods. Over the years, Jiaozi Mountain Rural (Equestrian) Club has been committed to promoting the development of equestrian sports in the city, providing more professional and comprehensive horse and equestrian training for equestrian enthusiasts, and laying a solid foundation for training young riders.
