Gaodian Township: A township under the jurisdiction of Luoshan County. Established as Gaodian Central Township in 1956, reorganized as a commune in 1961, and became a township in 1983. Located in the northwest of the county, 15 kilometers from the county seat. It lies at the confluence of the Shi and Huai rivers. The area covers 93.1 square kilometers with a population of 38,000. The township administers 12 village committees: Gaodian, Yanhe, Wangwan, Hunan, Sihuai, Gaodao, Yufan, Sanhe, Zhongxin, Zhanghe, Chentang, and Gaomiao. The main agricultural products are rice, wheat, oil crops, and cotton, along with oil chestnuts, watermelons, lotus roots, and peanuts.
