Huangtuling North Site

The Huangtuling North Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Chicheng County.

The Huangtuling North Site dates back to the Middle Paleolithic Age and is located on Gaotaizi, north of Huangtuling Village in Chicheng Town, Chicheng County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province.

On April 14, 2011, the Huangtuling North Site was announced as part of the second batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in Chicheng County.

Protected area and construction control zone: taking the edge of the site as the baseline, extending 10 meters eastward, and 20 meters westward, northward, and southward.

Chicheng Town: Chicheng Town is the seat of the county government and serves as the political, economic, and cultural center of the entire county. It borders Yangtian Township to the southeast, Dia’e Town to the southwest, Zhenningbao Township to the west, and Yunzhou Township to the north. It is situated at the confluence of the Baihe River and Tangquan River. National Highway 112, Provincial Highways Baoping Line and Nanchi Line run across the town, while the Beijing-Zhangjiakou First-Class Highway and the Zhang-Tang Railway pass through the town, making transportation convenient. The elevation of the town center is 890 meters, with an average elevation of 949 meters across the entire township. The area features a mid-temperate, sub-arid continental monsoon climate.
