Shuangshanzhai Site

The Shuangshanzhai Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Chicheng County.

The Shuangshanzhai Site dates back to the Late Paleolithic Age and is located 50 meters northeast of Shuangshanzhai Village, Yangtian Township, Chicheng County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province.

On April 14, 2011, the Shuangshanzhai Site was announced as part of the second batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in Chicheng County.

Protected area and construction control zone: taking the edge of the site as the baseline, it extends 10 meters eastward and southward, and 20 meters westward and northward.

Yangtian Township: a township under the jurisdiction of Chicheng County. Established in 1956 as Yangtian Township, it was renamed Dengta Commune in 1958, then Yangtian Commune in 1961, and reinstated as Yangtian Township in 1984. Located in the central part of the county, the Baihe River runs through it. It covers an area of 189.8 square kilometers with a population of 8,000. The Xuanhua–Fengning Highway crosses the township.
