Jiangjiabao Site

The Jiangjiabao Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Chicheng County.

The Jiangjiabao Site dates back to the middle Paleolithic Age or slightly later and is located 300 meters east of Jiangjiabao Village, Longmensuo Town, Chicheng County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province.

On April 14, 2011, the Jiangjiabao Site was designated as part of the second batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in Chicheng County.

Protected area and construction control zone: based on the edge of the site, it extends 10 meters westward, and 20 meters eastward, southward, and northward.

Longmensuo Town is located in the northeast of Chicheng County, 30 kilometers from the county seat, with a total controlled area of 360,800 mu. It borders Dongwankou Township to the east, Chicheng Town to the west, Yunzhou Township to the north, and Yangtian Township to the south. The town is lower in the south and higher in the north, with an elevation ranging between 860 and 1,230 meters. The average annual precipitation is about 430 mm, the frost-free period lasts 100–120 days, and it lies within the Baihe River basin. The area is typically arid, with seasonal rivers, and there are 67 irrigation wells within its territory.
