Sicheng Zhenshi Pavilion is located in Sanguanmiao Village in the southeast outskirts of the city. In 1988, it was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit by the County People’s Government. The site of the pavilion was originally the Sanyuan Palace, built in the 16th year of the Wanli reign during the Ming Dynasty (1588). In the 10th year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1745), the main hall was converted into the Chenhogong Ancestral Hall, with Sicheng Zhenshi enshrined as an accompanying figure, and Sicheng Zhenshi Pavilion was constructed. Currently, there are three two-story buildings covered with plain blue bricks and tiles. According to “Records of the Grand Historian · The House of Confucius,” it is recorded that: “Confucius then went to Chen and stayed at the home of Sicheng Zhenshi.” Sicheng Zhenshi was a minister of the State of Chen during the Spring and Autumn period. Zhenshi is her posthumous title, but her given name has been lost to history.
