Zhao Yaozhuang Site
The Zhao Yaozhuang Site is located within Zhao Yaozhuang Village, Liu Zhen Tun Township, south of the county town. It was discovered during the 1984 cultural relics survey. Covering an area of 11,900 square meters, the cultural layer is 3 to 5 meters deep. Artifacts unearthed include pottery shards such as fold-rimmed, narrow-mouthed jars and flat-bottomed bowls from the Longshan Culture period. The site is generally level with the ground surface, and the cultural layer begins about half a meter below ground level. The upper part contains Han Dynasty tombs, from which items such as a Han Dynasty bronze mirror with a “sunlight” design and gray pottery jars have been collected. It was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit in 1988.
